Investing in Training and Employee Development
Throughout CIA's 40+ year history (read more), we have been committed to staff training and development. Indeed, Steve Kimber, our Managing Director, and over 85% of the current Management Team joined the company as trainees.
We qualified as 'Investors In People' in 1995 and annual audits ensure that this standard is maintained; our staff regularly attend training courses, both in-house and externally.
Our trainee engineers follow an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering and attend day release courses at Southdowns College for a minimum of two years to gain a Level 3 NVQ.
Coupled with this, CIA has developed a graded system for our engineers’ training and they have the opportunity to move up through six grades to the highest, being supervisor. Training in superseded equipment is also included.
