Sherry Completes Portsmouth Race For life
The sun may not have lit up the day, but 8,000+ women all wearing various shades of pink certainly did!

For the sixth year running, Christie Intruder Alarms treated sixteen hard working pupils from Riders Junior School in Leigh Park to a helicopter flight to mark their achievements throughout the school year and, for the second year running, we’ve videoed it!
On 25 September, weather permitting, Yvonne Fox, one of CIA’s Security System Designers, will be throwing caution to the winds and herself off the top of Guildford Cathedral.
When the gun goes off at the start of this year’s Great South Run on 24 October, CIA’s sister company Southern Monitoring’s Catherine Jenkins will be there, sporting the yellow tee shirt of the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Banana Army.
Most public, and many private, premises have an intruder alarm system installed, probably as a condition of their insurance policy. More often than not however, alarm systems are many years old, don’t incorporate latest technology and have not been maintained properly. In other words, they don’t fully meet users’ needs and this tends to become […]
As you may have already read in the original story, CIA’s Group Service Manager Chris Jones had signed up to take part in the Great South Run in October. Inspired by James, a friend of the family who had recently been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at just four years old, Chris was going to run […]
For the fifth year running, Christie Intruder Alarms rewarded sixteen hard working pupils from Riders Junior School in Leigh Park with a helicopter flight to mark their achievements throughout the school year, and this time it was videoed! The weather was slightly cloudy but regular sunny spells made visibility from the aircraft excellent. This is […]
For the forth year running, Christie Intruder Alarms rewarded sixteen hard working pupils from Riders Junior School in Leigh Park with a helicopter flight to mark their achievements throughout the school year. The weather proved to be an improvement on last years day out which obviously made a big difference to the view from the […]
On April the 1st (more fool me!) I was sitting on the couch late at night – kids settled, wife reasonably happy watching the normal TV – and I thought to myself, “I need a challenge”, especially as my Wii kept reminding me that my ‘Wii fit age’ is 60! After browsing the web, I […]
Colin Whittaker (CCTV & Access Control System Designer for CIA in the Portsmouth and Southampton areas) followed up on his promise to complete the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Ride Round the Harbours’ event on 8 June (2008). The bike ride rather unusually involves two ferry crossings between Portsmouth and Gosport and between Southsea and Hayling Island. […]
The CIA technician was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, answering all my questions well.
Quick response and very polite.
Polite and efficient engineer who treated us and our home with respect.
Had CIA at previous address and were so impressed with the level of service, we had one installed at our new address!
Any problems were sorted out. Very helpful, friendly technician who didn’t complain when my toddler wanted to help.
When I need help it is available (with a smile, inferred by the telephone conversation!)
Both your system designer and your technician were very helpful and understanding, explaining all the necessary details.
Thanks to the designer, project manager and all engineers whose work during this contract was carried out with efficiency, professionalism and care.
Attentive and responsive. Got back to me with a quote in the time he said he would.
Good service, friendly staff.
