Just some of the unseen benefits of using CIA
CIA is a genuine success story. We’re well known locally for our distinctive Running Man logo which you’ll see on our red alarm boxes throughout the south. And we’ve also got a high profile nationally, not just because we’re the largest independent security installer in the UK, but also because a number of our senior management are movers and shakers on industry committees. This means we help to shape the future of the electronic security industry which is great for our customers because it gives us a head start. We know the direction the industry is headed in.
How many other security installers can boast that more than half their system designers are their former engineers? Over half of ours started with us as apprentices and have risen through the ranks and transferred to sales, and three of them (although still in their forties) have been with us over thirty years! Who better to know exactly what and how it should be done? This means you can be confident that the system you buy from us will be entirely suitable for purpose.
Our founder, Barrie Christie, has always insisted that a security installer must make a profit. Yes, I can hear you say, of course he would say that but how do I benefit from that? Think about it. If a company doesn’t make a profit, it won’t survive and if it doesn’t survive, it can’t look after its installations. And that’s aside from the difficulty of having to find another company to take over your alarm which can be costly; because most alarm installers want to use their own control panel and sounder when they take over a system.
Also, through making a profit we’ve been able to invest in service-improving technology, this can be witnessed in the adoption of our vehicle tracking system for co-ordinating engineering, the adoption of PDAs for our sales force, and tablet computers for engineers for efficient communications and updating data.
Product testing is another thing Barrie has always been a stickler for. I can’t stress enough how stingently we always test products before we commit to them and we only ever use the very best and most reliable kit on the market. The benefit of this to you is that our systems are dependable and more future-proofed.
A security system is a long-term investment, you’re not just buying the product, you’re also investing in the company so it’s these sort of things that you need to be aware of when you buy an alarm. CIA has been operating nearly 45 years now! We’ve tried, and we can’t think of a single other independent security company in the south of England – from before half as many years – that is still running.
Until next time
