O2 network down again! Relax; CIA use WorldSIM
The recent problems with the O2 network has left hundreds of thousands of mobile users without the ability to make or receive a call or send a text.
I was thinking, as I was trying to make a call last night, how inconvenient it was. But then I thought, how many other alarm companies use the O2 network to signal alarm conditions from burglar and fire alarm systems? I couldn’t make a telephone call but what if there was an emergency and a fire alarm couldn’t signal that a building was on fire?
It was at that point I realised its not just inconvenient… it’s a risk to property and may even put people’s lives at risk!
How reassuring it is to know that is not a problem for CIA. We use WorldSIM for our communications which means all the alarms we’ve fitted over the last couple of years will signal on any of the major networks as standard. So if the O2 or Vodafone network fails it simply switches to Orange or T-Mobile or whatever network has the next strongest signal strength… and there’s always the backup of using the old fashioned landline! And it’s not the first time O2 have had this problem, along with Vodaphone in 2011 (read more).
Just another hidden benefit that we give our customers as standard. If you want to know more then please give us a call and speak to one of our systems designers and we’ll tell you exactly how WorldSIM gives you the peace of mind and reassurance as one of the most reliable forms of communication on the market.
It just goes to show that when it comes to security or safety it pays to choose the best!
