Below you can read all about the various accreditions and scheme’s CIA adheres to as well as a quick overview of the Govening Bodies concerned in italics.

NSI NACOSS Gold Medal

(covering intruder, CCTV and Access Control)

NSI is the acronym for the National Security Inspectorate.  It is regarded as the most respected of all the compliancy bodies governing the security industry.  The NSI have three levels of approval: Bronze, Silver and Gold, of which the Gold Medal is their premier scheme and guarantees that businesses are run in a competent, professional manner to the highest standards.

BAFE SP203

for Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance

BAFE is the acronym for the British Approvals for Fire Equipment.

We achieved certification for the BAFE SP203 Modular Scheme for Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, regulated through the NSI, in all 4 modules: Design, Installation, Commissioning & Handover and Verification & Maintenance in 2006.

ECA

ECA is the acronym for the Electrical Contractors’ Association, and are the UK’s leading trade association representing the interests of contractors who design, install, inspect, test and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and services.

CIA has been a member of the ECA since 2007.

FSA

FSA is the acronym for the Fire and Security Association, the security division of the ECA (Electrical Contractors’ Association), who are generally regarded as the most respected of all the compliancy bodies governing electricians and electrical practice.

CIA has been an FSA approved company since 2007.

ISO9001:2008

ISO9000 is a family of standards for quality management systems which is administered by accreditation bodies and maintained by the International Organisation of Standardisation.

Accredited by the NSI, CIA has been a Quality Assured company since 1991, constantly updating as required.  The latest standard, ISO9001:2008, was released in March 2010 and we were accredited by the NSI to the standard in April 2010.

MLA

MLA is the acronym for the Master Locksmiths Association, and is generally regarded as the most respected of all the compliancy bodies governing locksmithing practice.

CIA have been MLA approved for locks and safes since 1998.

CHAS

CHAS is the acronym for the The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme and are market leaders for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK.

CIA are CHAS certificated.

SAFEContractor

SAFEcontractor is also a health and safety pre-qualification assessment scheme.

CIA is SAFEContractor accredited.
