After an attempted burglary, Helen was looking for a security systems provider that had the relevant experience and expertise, along with a friendly and professional approach to provide her family with reliability and peace of mind.

Following the attempted burglary, Helen wanted a robust, comprehensive and cost-effective CCTV system that would provide her family with strong security and peace of mind.

Although the family had an intruder alarm from another provider, it didn’t work and with no CCTV system in place, it left them feeling vulnerable that an attempted burglary could happen again. They were in need of a security update.

The customer chose a three camera system, that was set up in full view of the front garden, back garden and driveway including all parking. The system can install up to four cameras and so Helen has the option of installing a fourth at a later date.

Two of CIA’s qualified and friendly technicians successfully installed the CCTV in a day. As well as installing the equipment, they also fully trained the customers on how to use the equipment and happily answered their questions. CIA also fitted an NSI NACOSS Gold accredited intruder alarm system – the highest accreditation within the industry.

Since having the Sentry package installed six months ago, unfortunately, the Starkey family experienced another attempted burglary. However, this time, they could accurately go through the CCTV footage, and indeed, saw clear images of the driveway and the wannabe burglars trying to look into their cars and driveway.

With the Sentry CCTV, the family now have a screen at home to monitor the system and have purposefully placed it by the window to act as a deterrent. Thanks to the new system, they were able to download the images and video and send these to the police within several hours.

During the initial setup, the CIA installers also did an in-depth demonstration of how the camera works at night. Infrared lights show movement in certain areas. You can select very high quality to enable you to pick up cars and other movement, or slightly lower quality, which will provide a month’s worth of recording.

CIA’s CCTV packages act as a visual deterrent also provide an invaluable method of recording crime, violence or anti-social behaviour through video or digital recording. Customers can also choose from either bullet cameras, which provide better focus, or dome cameras, that offer a wider scope, or a combination of the two.

The systems can be monitored by Southern Monitoring Services Ltd, our Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC) which holds NSI Gold Medal Quality Assurance to ISO 9001, and images can be viewed from anywhere in the world – all you need is an internet connection.

CIA has a strong engineering team of over 50 trained specialists that undergo rigorous evaluation and testing to ensure that its customers receive the best service available. Its engineers use this expert know-how to reduce wasted storage of unwanted recordings by masking objects such as bushes and trees that move in the wind and activate the sensors.

With a four channel screen splitter, customers can view up to four cameras simultaneously (or one at a time) on your monitor in full HD 1080p (1920×1080) resolution. The IR LEDs mean that even at night, customers can see their house and the surrounding area clearly. The IP66 camera housing is third-party certified as both waterproof and dustproof, protecting it from inevitable elements.

We’ll configure the system to only record when movement is detected, normally from five seconds before activation until five seconds after the movement stops.

The system comes with 1 or 2 TB of storage as standard. We consider that’s generally about two weeks worth of saved footage before it starts to re-record over itself.

The Sentry Home CCTV Package also comes with an app, enabling customers to view their home, garden and surrounding areas from anywhere around the world. There’s also desktop PC and Mac software giving you even easier access to view four-camera split view. Customers can access footage either of a real-time live stream or of recorded video played back from the NVR.

You can store videos and snapshots to a USB memory device, ie for your records or to conserved evidence. It’s also possible to burn it to CD/DVD from your PC/Mac, or even connect your NVR to an external network storage server.
