Physical Security

For us, physical security means devices or fixtures that physically protect your property and possessions.  They include locks, bolts, bars or other architectural ironmongery, gates, car park barrier, bollards, door furniture and safes.  These pages explain it all.

Locks, Safes, Gates, Bars, Barriers…We Do It All!

CIA is one of the largest retailers of safes in the south of England. We can supply any type or grade of safe to suit any application. Safes are available in a range of sizes and types with varying degrees of theft protection and multiple locking options as well as deposit facilities which allow cash to be posted in the safe without the depositor having to open it.

CIA offer a full installation service for all types of safe. When installing under floor or wall safes it is vitally important to the security of the safe that the correct site is chosen, and the materials and site are prepared correctly when installing.

CIA also supply fire safes, fire files, document and data protection cabinets, which are designed to give protection for paper documents or computer media. There are a wide range of document and data protection cabinets on the market. Various claims are made by manufacturers about the fire protection their safes offer, not all will live up to their claims! It is therefore essential to seek expert advice from CIA who can assist you in your choice.

A major part of building security and usually the first line of defence is the mechanical lock, used to secure doors, gates and other access points. The key that operates this lock is an important factor in the security of the access point.

It is therefore vitally important that the control over key duplication is considered as well as physical strength of the lock, in order to maintain the integrity of security in the building. The integrity of a building can only be as secure as the control over the use of the keys that operate the mechanical lock. Patented keys should be the minimum level of acceptable security for businesses when issuing keys to staff, contractors, tenants etc.

CIA can design, supply and install Master Key Systems (or Master Suite Systems as they are sometimes called) tailored to suite the premises and the requirements of the user. These can range from small sites comprising of under 10 locks to multi site enterprise wide sites comprising of thousands of locks.

CIA supply key cabinets to suit all applications ranging from a small 20 hook cabinet to large floor standing systems capable of storing up to 2080 keys. These cabinets can be secured in a variety of ways such as key, combination or electronic locking.

Key control software for recording all key issues is also available. Used correctly these would ensure you know who has which key and what they can open.
