On 25 September, weather permitting, Yvonne Fox, one of CIA’s Security System Designers, will be throwing caution to the winds and herself off the top of Guildford Cathedral.
When the gun goes off at the start of this year’s Great South Run on 24 October, CIA’s sister company Southern Monitoring’s Catherine Jenkins will be there, sporting the yellow tee shirt of the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Banana Army.
As you may have already read in the original story, CIA’s Group Service Manager Chris Jones had signed up to take part in the Great South Run in October. Inspired by James, a friend of the family who had recently been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at just four years old, Chris was going to run […]
On April the 1st (more fool me!) I was sitting on the couch late at night – kids settled, wife reasonably happy watching the normal TV – and I thought to myself, “I need a challenge”, especially as my Wii kept reminding me that my ‘Wii fit age’ is 60! After browsing the web, I […]
Colin Whittaker (CCTV & Access Control System Designer for CIA in the Portsmouth and Southampton areas) followed up on his promise to complete the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Ride Round the Harbours’ event on 8 June (2008). The bike ride rather unusually involves two ferry crossings between Portsmouth and Gosport and between Southsea and Hayling Island. […]
Colin Whittaker followed in his father’s footsteps when he joined Christie Intruder Alarms in 1980. Having started as an Alarm Engineer, Colin is now our CCTV & Access Control System Designer for the PO and SO (Portsmouth and Southampton) postcode areas. Many of you will remember his father, Dave, who joined us in 1979 when […]
Shirley Shaw of Southern Monitoring ran in this years Portsmouth RFL dressed as a Burglar. Last year, girls from both Southern Monitoring Services and Christie Intruder Alarms, dressed as burglars and took part in the Portsmouth and the Southampton ‘Race for Life’. The girls ran in memory of Chris Walsh, who had died just days […]
Locksmith Matt Higgs ran the 2007 London Marathon (his 3rd) and raising a further £450 for charity. It was unseasonably hot – 24 degrees – on Sunday 22 April 2007. While most of us were basking in the wonderful sunshine, Matthew Higgs from Christie Intruder Alarm’s Retail Shop decided to give it a go and […]
Matt ran the London marathon as promised and raised over £400 for Cancer Research UK. The skies were grey and damp but it did not stop over half a million spectators lining the streets of London. The condition worked in all the runners’ favour. The men’s race had a very close finish with the Kenyan […]
Good service, friendly staff.
The CIA technician was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, answering all my questions well.
All CIA staff seem to be friendly and keen to provide a good service
Polite attitude of your technician, minimum disruption.
Work carried out as requested and staff incredibly helpful as always.
Attentive and responsive. Got back to me with a quote in the time he said he would.
CIA is well run and the equipment installed is always first class.
Engineer arrived on time and was very friendly, willing to take on board our comments regarding box location from the moment he arrived – He went through the system and demonstrated it several times. He was thorough in his testing. He took extra care to hide the cabling, swept up and even offered to vacuum!
Always very helpful and obliging. Always feel that things said will happen.
Pleasant engineer who provided an efficient service.
